B1+ field for various coil array element designs
B1+ field from a loop coil, microstrip element and the radiative antenna at 298 MHz (7 Tesla). Clearly visible is the asymmetric behaviour of the loop coil and the microstrip versus efficient plane wave generation of the radiative antenna.
